The city of Bangkok, the capital of Thailand is where the most visitors travel from either through transit or from lodgings down to Koh Phangan. There are travel agents in or around every hotel in all the main tourist areas of Bangkok, very noticeable in number and they may even be a little overwhelming, often serving as Internet and postal services also.
Well the boats simply leave at 7AM, 11AM and 4PM from the main peir in Thong Sala to Koh Samui and come back the other way about one hour later.
